Yellow Peaches are on sale at $1.49 (Each)… Enjoy as is or poached in red wine:
Method for poached; boil pot of water and drop 8 large or 12 small peaches in the hot water then peel gently, discard water and put peeled fruit back in the pan. Cover with inexpensive red wine (can also add honey and cinnamon to taste, but I use only red wine) and simmer for an hour, stand and let cool. Serve alone at room temperature for same day use, then cover and refrigerate to serve cold and use within three days. Can be served separately with small bowl of ice cream.
